Dropped Date Filled Cookies

Do you just love filled cookies but hate the fussiness of making them? These are dropped and you don't have to roll them out. The filling is even dropped on top of the drop. Easy and good.

The first time I made this, I was highly disappointed, and would probably give it two stars for good taste but failed appearance. The second time, I did not add the water to the dough, and they actually looked like cookies instead of running all over the place, so I'd give them four or five stars. My husband loves date-roll cookies, but they are kind of a hassle to make; these were a great substitute!
