This was a classic my grandmother made and my husband's family made it for holidays as well. I won't share what his 'darling' brother refers to it as though he will eat it right up! This is an easy cheese ball to make and it's savory and creamy. I've been known to add a bit of roasted garlic to it and that nutty sweetness just rounds out the flavors.

I don't use Accent, but add a little garlic powder and often use dried onion flakes when green onions are not available... and today for Christmas, I used some dried vegetable soup mix. Soaked them in water until they were like fresh again, and added them to the mix. GAve added color and flavor. Sometimes I also add chopped stuffed green olives; also nice for color. Our family has loved this cheese spread/ball for many years. A Must for all holiday snacking. I also do not use real dried beef (too salty!) but use the lunch meat type that comes in a bag... 4 oz.
