Dreamy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

"This frosting comes out fluffy and delicious every time! Sweetened condensed milk adds to the rich flavor of this delectable topping. You may not need all the sugar, test the flavor before adding the last few tablespoons. I sometimes leave out a little sugar and have the option of icing a cake, or cakes, or using as a fresh fruit dip."

  1. i enjoyed this and it was tasty but only after i changed it and added more of the condensed milk and milk because i guess i like it more creamy and spreadable i would say also DO NOT PUT ON CAKE UNTILL COOLED well i do at time shwne in a rush and i know the icing just melts but i noticed that the butter became clumpy while the icing was melting so I don't reccomend that

  2. Just made this, thank you to the poster who shared it, it was really good and was exactly what I was looking for in taste and texture quality. I added one extra TBSP of condensed milk and wish I had beaten longer. What I made doesn't glisten like the other pictures posted I think it's because I didn't beat it long enough. It turned out so good I thought that this deserves appraisal and a review with some pictures. We used it like a dip instead of smearing it on the rolls. I find this recipe tastes much better than any store bought or restaurant, I never had a cinnamon roll from Cinnabon but I bet it's better than their's too...! I had planned to load more pictures but it only allows me the one picture, this receipe made a ziploc container almost 3/4's full.

  2. 1 extra TBSP of sweetened condensed milk and I did not worry about levelling the measuring cups, I just shook it as close to level as I could get.

Well i am a Taurus, with Cancer rising... They say that makes me a natural maker and lover of good foods. I would have to agree, i love to cook and i love to eat... anything SAVORY and delicious. As far as foods go- the more ginger, garlic and pepper - THE BETTER! And as far as sweets go - the more vanilla, Ginger and Spices - THE BETTER! i love to work carribean and indian flavors into traditional recipes for a unique flair, which is why my user name is Hybrid Cookin' - cause i think it's the best kind. Perhaps you agree? If not, try a couple of my recipes (once posted) and see what you think! My friends and family seem to really enjoy my cooking and i am excited at the chance to share some of my favorite flavors with others on this site - i think we all can learn from eachother - things that will make all of our cooking better. Bon Appetit! Or as my sweetie says: "Eat Good!"
