  1. Cream shortening and 3/4 cup sugar together in a bowl.
  2. Add egg yolks gradually, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Stir in flour and salt.
  4. Chill thoroughly, sbout 2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Drop cookies by rounded teaspoonful@ 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Flatten each with the bootom of a glass dipped in sugar.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for@ 8 minutes.
