Dreamsicle for Adults

"This is a refreshing summer cocktail that is good to sip on a perfect summer evening. I use Cuentra y Tres (43 in Spanish) but any vanilla liqueur or schnapps will work as well. You could even put it in the blender for a frozen drink!"

  1. I made half the drink for me. I used half and half cream. This was too yummy. I drank it in less than 10 minutes. Thanks JustAFoodie :) Made for I Recommend tag game

  2. Very very tasty. I found this and thought what a great treat (an early) one but still delicious and a keeper.

  3. WOW - this is fantastic! I used vanilla vodka and light cream. What a treat - this is a real keeper - thanks for sharing the recipe! Made for Spring Pick-A-Chef 2011

  4. Easy and delicious too! I used a vanilla vodka, but think that schnapps would be a smidge sweeter! I may try it with Licor 43, next time! I also used 1/2 and 1/2, as it was on hand. Thanks, JustAFoodie, for a yummy adult beverage, that I know I'll be making again!

  5. This is one very tasty cocktail. And it really does taste like those frozen creamsicles that I used to enjoy during my childhood. So if you like those orange/vanilla ice cream popsicles, then you will really enjoy this cocktail. Thanks for sharing your recipe, JustAFoodie. Made for Spring 2011 Pick-A-Chef.

I grew up in an interesting household. As a child I experienced eating leg of lamb and many greek dishes on Easter. I attended many seders, bar/bot mitzvahs...ect. Living in Texas, we love our bbq and our tex-mex. So if you are looking at my cookbook you are seeing a reflection of my childhood and how my palate is very quirky. :)
