  1. Great fudgy style brownie. I doubled the recipe, put in a 13x9 in. pan and added 10 minutes to the baking time. I have never made brownies from scratch before and I was looking for uses for a large can of cocoa powder that I have had. They turned out to be very easy to do and so good that I will never make boxed brownies again. Everyone loved the chocolate chips!

  2. I really enjoyed this recipe. I like that it calls for only 6 tablespoons of butter and no oil. I used organic unsalted butter and white whole wheat flour. I also used Dove chocolates instead of chocolate chips and added walnuts. It turned out to be extremely chocolaty with these wonderfully gooey chunks of dark chocolate. A small piece is all that is needed to fulfill a chocolate fix! I was nervous as to how it would turn out when it acted like plop going into the pan. But it evened out perfectly with all the chocolate and walnut chunks in it. I, however, used a smaller pan. If you are using a 9x9 pan I would suggest, like an earlier reviewer, to double the recipe.

  3. Indeeed they were moist and slightly between chewy and cakey. I didn't have a problem with it turning flat. They have a nice texture actually. I used white chocolate chip, which is a no-no since the white stuffs looked like unmixed flours LOL. If you're looking for a moist, soft texture. This is it. Baked them additional 5min

  4. I think these were great brownies. I used white chocolate chips and then covered the warm brownies with vanilla ice cream! I would recommend doubling the recipe or just use a smaller pan. Thanks again.

  5. Just my DH and myself to bake for so I though I would give these brownies a try. What can I say. Great, wonderful just the right size for us. I used milk chocolate chip as that is what I had on hand. Next time I might try peanut butter chips. Chocolate and peanutbutter hum----
