  • Combine meatball ingredients, making sure not to overwork.
  • Form into large balls, about 3 inches diameter (small is not as good).
  • For sauce, cook onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup water, parsley, tomato paste and spices, and bring to a boil.
  • Add meatballs, cover, and simmer for 2 hours.
  • Serve over hot spaghetti.

  3. Very good! I am quite particular with my veggies and the way I usually eat spaghetti is to eat the noodles with whatever sauce happens to stay on the noodles. But this time I ate all the sauce too. My husband and I were surprised that there wasn't any sauce left on my plate. It was so good we were eating the sauce by itself without noodles.
