"This is a copykat recipe. If you like Domino's you will love these. They are fairly easy to put together for an after school snack or addition to your dinner!"

  1. I tried out this recipe tonight on my hubby. He agrees that it is a bang-on copycat for Domino's CinnaStix! I used my favorite recipe for homemade pizza dough, and it made quite a large batch, I estimate one recipe of this is equal to 3 or 4 orders of CinnaStix from Domino's.... The icing recipe seemed large, but it's the right amount for this number of cinnastix. Thanks for the great recipe!

  2. Having worked at Domino's there are some things fundamentally wrong with this recipe. At the shop, we take a regular ball of dough, pull it to a roughly square shape. Cut it in half. Use a perforating roller (restaurant supply stores or online) and cut into 8 sticks. Squirt liberally with butter-flavored oil. (OK - you can use the real stuff if you want, but Smart N Final sells a product almost exactly what Domino's does.) The perforations give you that thick, soft, doughy breadsticks. Bake before sprinkling with cinnamon sugar. (Could you imagine cleaning pans with carmelized sugar?! At a fast-food joint? I think not!)

  3. Awesome! These are much better than the Domino's version. Had five boys in the house and am surprised I even got to try one, they were gone that fast. Used recipe #13546 which I mixed in the KitchenAid. Even with making the dough, prep was really quick. Used 2 cups powdered sugar and enough extra milk to make icing which I drizzled on the sticks. Icing was awesome. Thanks for sharing the recipe! A definite repeat at my house.

  4. So I made this tonight and it took very little time but unfortunately it really doesnt taste much like dominos cinnasticks. The pizza dough I used tasted fine but I think the cinnamon sugar mixture tasted uneven which I can deal with decause cinnamon and sugar are always good but the icing drops this recipe at least two stars. The icing was really gross, not the right consistency because a drizzle would have been more appropriate but literally the 1 lb of powdered sugar made it way too sweet. I will just have to keep looking for the right recipe.

I live in Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to run into Recipezaar around Nov. 2000 and got hooked quickly. I am a cookbook collector and have been collecting recipes for as long as I can remember. My DH had to build in shelves for all my cookbooks! I like to dabble with OAMC and for a few years hosted the Budget/OAMC forum with some great people over there. Even though I don't work in the forum any longer I've set up a lot of cookbooks for the purpose of OAMC and stretching food that might be helpful. Please feel free to check them out! I go on food jags and cooking jags! Please come say hi to me and chat on facebook. I currently host a blog for saving money through finding deals and coupons if you are interested. Most of the time I try to cook and have a good dinner on the table but I'll be honest enough to say there is still fast food occasionally in the budget! I have had such wonderful support here whenever I need it. Thank you all for being here! Just a quick note on how I rate recipes: ? 5 stars - This recipe is perfect. (My DH is truly a critic and doesn't give 5's unless it's amazing) I would recommend it to others and would definitely make again. ? 4 stars - This recipe was good but I would change something in it next time. ? 3 stars - This is a recipe I would not make again but it was OK ? 2 stars - This recipe I would not make again and we didn't like it at all ? 1 star - This recipes did not work out/taste was unappealing and wouldn't make again
