I don't have a dog, but both my girls do,. The grandkids get a kick out of helping me make these at Christmas for us to give their dogs. We make the stockings and stuff them with doggy treats and they get them for Christmas.

  2. When yeast bubbles, add all ingredients except egg and milk.

  6. Combine milk and egg to make a glaze; brush cookies with this glaze.
  7. Bake at 300° for 45 minutes.
  8. Leave out overnight to dry.
  9. Store in airtight container.

A nice recipe to give to your dog loving friends. These were easy to make and fun to cut out in a dog bone shape cookie. I put these in a cheap dog dish and wrote the dog's name on the side of the dish and shrink wrapped them. Thanks for sharing a great recipe to give as a gift.
