  1. My family really enjoyed this recipe. I have never had butter beer before so I didn't really know what to expect but I will probably be making this again with a few tweaks to fit our families taste. I did make a few changes the recipe I read the previous reviews and decided to use a cinnamon stick instead of the powdered cinnamon to prevent the powder floating at the top. It worked out quite nicely. The cinnamon stick infused into the drink a mild cinnamon flavor with no weird floaties. I also added a tad more butter scotch topping (about 1 tsp more). I think this is where I will make an additional change in the future. Although the finished drink was very delicious my family wanted it to have a stronger butterscotch flavor. I am not sure if I will add more butterscotch topping or try something else to intensify the flavor without adding too much sweetness. Overall a great recipe to start with and one that you can easily tweak to your own taste. Oh! One more thing. I also garnished it with a whipped cream that was slightly sweetened with a little melted marshmallow cream. Just a little as the drink is already sweet I didn't sweeten the whipped cream much at all. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

  2. Yummy. I found it a little sweet with an ounce of butterscotch syrup (I made it for my kids on a cold day), so I will put a bit less next time, but I would definately make it again. I did also lessen the amount of cinnamon after reading one of the other reviews, so I don't know how it would taste with the full tsp of cinnamon.

  3. We also had the stuff that kept floating to the top, which was cinnamon! I love cinnamon, but 1 tsp was waaaaaaaaaaay too much. I can't believe no one else thought so. We plan to make this again using just a pinch. Good flavor overall, since as the cinnamon floated to the top, we spooned it out.

  4. We made this for an adults' Harry Potter Scene It party. (Scene It is a game.) For my first batch, I misread the recipe and added 2 T of honey instead of 2 t, so I omitted the sugar, which worked out well. I also used 1 oz. vanilla vodka in place of the vanilla and I used ~1 T butterscotch syrup. In the second batch, which I tripled (because the first batch was a trial batch), I used ~4 T of honey. The women were more enthusiastic than the men about drinking it, but it got two thumbs up from everyone. Thank you, Erin!

  5. This was a huge hit at my teenage daughter's Harry Potter book release party. I can't wait to try it with a little kick for the grown ups
