  • Combine 1/4 cup molasses, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Add beans, pineapple, pineapple juice, lemon juice and 1/4 cup of the pecans. Mix well. In cup, combine remaining pecans, 1 tablespoons molasses and butter). Spoon around edge of beans (optional). Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until beans are bubbly.

  1. I liked these but I think the extra molasses on top wasn't necessary. I'm still debating on whether I liked the pecans in these beans, too. The beans were cooked in a low oven at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Tasted better the next day-they always do. Reviewed for Best of 2011.
     
  2. Though I used 1 can vegatarian beans, and 1 can baked beans this turned really nice. Great Great combo of spices in this, I did leave out the salt. Made for a great side dish for dinner. Mine was done in 30 minutes, though it definately could be my oven. Thanks great recipe. Made for Holiday Tag.
