- 453.59 g extra lean ground beef
- 226.79 g ground lean pork or 226.79 g sausage
- 236.59 ml sweet onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 170.09 g italian style tomato paste
- 85.04 g water
- 396.89 g chunky style tomato sauce
- 4.92 ml sugar
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 29.58 ml red wine vinegar
- 22.18 ml butter
- 22.18 ml olive oil
- 226.79 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 340.19 g egg noodles, boiled, drained, buttered, peppered
- 85.04 g cream cheese
- 236.59 ml sour cream
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 236.59 ml sharp cheddar cheese
directions
- Brown beef and pork with chopped onion and garlic. Drain and add tomato paste, water, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, pepper, and red wine vinegar.
- In a separate pan, saute mushrooms in olive oil and butter. Add mushrooms to meat mixture.
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and green onions.
- Put half cooked egg noodles in lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. Dollop with cream cheese mixture. Pour half meat mixture over top; then repeat layers. Top with sharp cheddar. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
