An extra good way to make carrots taste better (my favourite veg!)
- 6 -8 medium carrots
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey or 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1⁄4 cup fresh dill
- Peel and split the carrots.
- Place balance of ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a boil.
- Add carrots and cook until still firm but not crisp.
- Drain and serve.
I love carrots and I love this recipe. Unfortunately I had to use dry dill but it was still excellent A do again recipe
Excellent carrots! I couldn't stay away from the few leftovers - even cold. It was like eating candy. I used maple syrup and reduced the butter to 2 tsp, which was plenty for me. I also sprinkled a little dill on after cooking. This is a definite repeater recipe. Thank you!
