The hot and hazy days of August call for a more laidback approach to entertaining. This easy make-ahead appetizer fits the bill beautifully. Cream cheese and cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, garlic dill pickles, and seasonings are all combined and then rolled in walnuts and parsley. Perfect served alongside a variety of crackers and flatbreads.

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients, beating until smooth.
  2. Cover and chill until firm, 2 hours or overnight. Shape into a ball, and roll in a mixture of nuts and parsley.
  3. Serve with assorted crackers.
