I turned this into a solo meal by adding a half a cup of broccoli flowerets to boiling water that also contained two cups of dried pasta. While they were cooking together ( eight minutes was just right ) I mixed the rest of the ingredients in a shallow bowl, and then poured the drained, hot pasta and broccoli on top and tossed. I think that diced cooked chicken or ham would also work well here.

I love broccoli and different ways to serve it. I added some minced garlic to this. I did add some cayenne pepper (I do like hot and spicy) but it just did not seem to work with the veggi only. Maybe if I added some pasta and chicken as Bill suggested the cayenne would have gone over better with me.

This is a very tasty way to serve broccoli. I used frozen broccoli and it worked just fine. It is very easy and quick to make.

Nice addition to the broccoli, instead of mayo. Made for a delicous vegetable that went well with the ham. Instead of Dijon mustard I used some homemade horseradish mustard and this turned out nicely. Would use less vinegar so that the mustard taste would come thru more next time. But I enjoyed this very much. Thank you Mille for posting.

Very good! I steamed my broccoli for about 7 minutes and then added the other ingredients. Simple and tasty. Thanks Mille for a nice side dish. Made for Cookbook Tag.

This was very good. The only thing I might change next time is to omit the cider vinegar, for me it was a little too tangy. I steamed the broccoli in the microwave, then mixed it all together in a bowl. I also added a little minced fresh garlic. Thank you for a simple and delicious recipe, different than the usual plain broccoli!

I really enjoyed this. I left out the butter as I didn't want the extra fat but it was still a nice spin on steamed broccoli. Served with 288933 Steamed Salmon with Mushrooms and Leeks. Yummy.

This was really a hit at dinner! The sauce flavors toned down the strong flavor of the broccoli so that all the flavors worked well with each other. I think this would be a perfect side dish to go with just about anything. We had it as a simple supper with smoked sausage and baked beans. Thank you.

Absolutely wonderful! I made as a side dish for Thanksgiving and it was a hit. I don't think I had quite enough broccoli, but it wasn't a big deal. Great flavor, healthy, and less fattening than a casserole. This is going in my recipe book!

We really liked this. It kind of hides the flavor of broccoli, according to my kids, lol.
