Diet Green Tea Lemon Jello

I'm dieting, ugh, and for a treat I've been having Sugar Free Jello. After reading about green tea and how it is supposed to boost your metabolism I thought I'd try to incorporate tea into my diet. Who knows if it works? This is one tasty idea I've had. If you like strong tea then steep the bag longer or use 2 tea bags. I also divvy it into serving sizes using custard cups, but any small vessel will do, I've used coffee cups, too. Cook time is chill time.

  1. Boil 1 cup water.
  2. Steep tea bag(s) in water for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix tea with jello powder until dissolved (about 2 minutes).
  4. Stir in 1 cup of cold water.
  5. Pour into 4 custard cups.
  6. Chill for 4 hours.
  7. Enjoy!

Well, at first I tried a variation of using sugar free lime jello, morracan mint green tea, half a cup of diet grapefruit soda (hansen's), and half a cup of seltzer. Well, it wasn't horrible, but not for me..soooo...I tried something different, and this tastes INCREDIBLE for being such low calorie. 1 pckt Raspberry gelatin 1 tbsp of regular green tea (gunpowder...not a tea bag) steeped for 4 minutes in 1 cup boiling water and then 1 cup seltzer The green tea flavor is not as strong as I'd like, but it is pretty delectable..especially with low-fat cottage cheese or cool whip. Thanks for the idea, Steamy!
