a diabetic dessert for plum lovers
- 4 firm purple plums
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 whole clove
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon sugar substitute
- Peel, pit and quarter plums.
- Combine water, clove, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and sugar replacement into saucepan.
- Bring just to boiling.
- Add plums.
- Bring back to boiling, reduce heat and cook 5 minutes.
- With a slotted spoon, remove plums to heated serving dish.
