Dessert Cheese Ball

"I got this recipe from a friend of mine after eating it at a Christmas party. I usually cut back on the chips I stir into the ball and roll the ball in chips instead of nuts. Just personal preference. I also buy regular and chocolate graham crackers and arrange them around the ball for a nice presentation. Enjoy!"

  1. Make sure you save some before taking this dish to a gathering. There will be none left!!!!!

  2. I love this recepie! So easy and everyone likes it! My favorite to serve with is Nilla Waffers! Try it.... I liked much better than the grahm crackers. O and just remember if you do not have mini chocolate chips on hand then just use a chopper and make them smaller... still looks pretty and tastes better that way!

  3. We tried this out because of all of the good reviews. We made it for our church picnic, and while we saw that most of it was gone before we left, we weren't that impressed by it... It was incredibly sweet, kind of like eating frosting with chocolate chips mixed in. It just wasn't our kind of dessert I guess.

  4. I wanted to take a picture of this to post but my friends ate it all before I could get the camera. It's like chocolate chip cookie dough without the eggs. Yumm!!!!!

  5. Great dessert for potluck, served it with a variety of cookies and it was a huge hit. Will make it again for sure.

Tweaks

  1. Yum! I've made this twice now. One I served w/my homemade digestive biscuits. The other I made for a Xmas party - I used cherry chips instead of chocolate chips and served w/cinn. & sugar baked tortilla chips. I use lowfat cream chese and it doesn't form a solid ball, but it looks just great in a serving dish and everyone loved it! I never would have thought of this combination for a dessert dip - thanks!

I live in Fort Worth, TX with my lovely wife Jenni. We love watching movies for fun and we *really* love to eat! Food should be enjoyed because if you think about it, you'll eat about 10,000 meals every year. That's a lot of meals, you should have fun eating them! I love to cook, and I love experimenting and making things I have never made before. Hence, my interest in this website. My wife encourages this habit of mine because it means less cooking for her. :) I like cooking so much that my mother in law got me a subscription to "Quick Cooking" for Christmas. I like eating the food I make but I like it much more when I watch other people enjoy what I have cooked. This has lead me to host lots of "girls nights" for my wife and her friends. I cook, they chat, we all eat. That's really fun. When I have free time I love to play games (card games, board games, computer games, etc.) I also love sports. Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, and Softball are my favorites. 12-5-02: I just posted my first recipe, so I'm on my way to being a regular on the 'Zaar. Watch out, you top 100 people!
