We loved these lovely crunchy veggies! I used olive oil instead of the butter and had no cilantro so used parsley. Love this combination of veggies, thanks for posting, I will be making them again.
Delicious! I didn't have mushrooms, but added red onion. My children really liked it and asked for seconds.
*Made for Australia/NZ swap #68* Just LOVE steamed veggies ! used all recipe ingredients, (except cilantro gel), but was dealing with broiling fragile crab cakes, so steamed for 15 minutes and skipped the saute this time. Loaded everything in the steamer, so there wasn't much crunch (this time). lovely fresh taste and best of all, enough for another meal ! Thanks for posting, my original A/NZ swap partner !
Great veggies, can't wait to try it later in the season when we have more fresh veggies at the Farmers Market. Did cut out the yellow pepper, it was just a little too many peppers for me.
A very good little recipe! Nice color and variety of veggies. I used a package of frozen veggies (broccoli, sliced carrots, water chestnuts, sugar pea pods), some garlic salt. When they were hot and JUST starting to get a bit "fried" I dumped in about a pound of shrimp, along with some freshly made orzo. MMMM! My family doesn't like cilantro at all, so we left that out and didn't miss it a bit (of course!). I will post the photo when I get home tonight....!!! Made for Photo Tag back in 2008---
This was a wonderful blend of veggies! Went over well with the whole family - even DD that hates mushrooms liked it as long as the mushrooms were hidden in a big bite with the other veggies. It was nice to have cooked veggies that tasted more American style than Asia style for a change. lol My cilantro went bad and couldn't find any at the market, so I had to do without, but I felt it had such a nice buttery taste to it that the cilantro wasn't missed. Thanks! Made for Adopt a Tag II - Sept 2008.
