  1. In a saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. stir in ketchup, water, vinegar, mustard and pepper. bring to a boil,stirring occasionally. Place hot dogs in a 1 qt baking dish; pour sauce over. Bake uncovered at 375 for 30 min, or untill bubbly. Serve over toast or rice.

I found this meal to have to much vinegar. I think would rather have plain hotdogs on a bun.

I used to have this frequently when I was a kid, and I've been searching for this recipe for years after I lost it. I am so excited to find it here!
