Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars

  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa; add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts, if desired.
  • Spread in a greased jelly roll pan.
  • Bake at 350F for 15-18 minutes.
  • Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over cake; return to oven for 2-3 minutes. Using a knife dipped in water, spread melted marshmallows evenly over the cake. Cool.
  • For the topping: Combine chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter n a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and well blended. Remove from heat; stir in cereal. Spread over bars. Chill.

  1. These were good and not to hard to make. The topping was a little bland so on the 2nd batch we added 1/4 cup powdered sugar to the peanut butter/choc. chip/rice crispy topping and it made a big difference. Thanks for sharing!

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
