"Sugar Cookies with cream cheese frosting"

ingredients

• 2⁄3 cup shortening (Crisco)
• 3⁄4 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 large egg
• 4 teaspoons milk
• 2 cups flour
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• frosting
• 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups powdered sugar

directions

1. Cookies- Mix shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg, beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk, stir in dry ingredients. Divide dough and chill
2. Roll and cut, bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees about 6-8 minutes.
3. Frosting- cream together cream cheese and butter until smooth, mix in the vanilla and gradually stir in the powdered sugar.
