This is a quick & tasty way to lower your cholesterol. Its a good way to combine recommended ingredients and has an attractive color too. If you don't have grapefruit juice you can use all water for liquid, or any other juice you like. However, grapefruit is a good cholesterol fighter unless you are on medication for it.
- Bring all ingredients except oat bran to a simmer.
- Simmer for one minute.
- Add oat bran.
- Simmer for two minutes.
Just wanted to mention that if you are on cholesterol medication , you shouldn't drink grapefruit juice as it can alter the effectiveness of your medicine...so,it would be a good idea to maybe sub with orange juice or just use water as the recipe suggest.
