  1. Wow, it was delicious and boy did it knock me out! I had all the stuff available so I decided to give this a try. Good thing I drank it in bed! First my legs went to mush, then my whole body felt like I had just had the world's best massage. I went to sleep within minutes and had a great deep sleep. Thank you Dannygirl!!!

  2. Well I rated this 5 stars because I did sleep well after drinking it! I expected hot chocolate with a cherry flavor, but this was so strong it was more like cherry brandy with a hint of hot chocolate flavor. It took me an hour, sip by sip to drink it all! I think next time I will split the brandy between 2 cups of hot chocolate and drink both! The first thing I noticed was my head feeling very heavy!

  3. It really does work. I stumbled apon this accidentally one night. I drank it and felt soooooo tired afterwards...at 8pm! Glad someone put up the recipe.

  4. and you thought chocolate in liquid form couldn't be any better! this is a very tasty adult beverage, and a nice way to keep warm on chilly evenings. to be honest, i think i may have skimped on the brandy, so it didn't "knock me out," but it definitely gave me warm fuzzies to fall asleep to! great recipe, thanks!

  5. I didn't have any cherry brandy, but I did have brandy and a bottle of Southern Black Cherry Mix (a cherry syrup)so I just made the cocoa and added brandy and cherry juice. It wasn't quite bedtime so I went a little easy on the brandy! I had been wondering what to do with my bottle of cherry syrup-now I know! Delicious!
