This recipe is from my sister in law. She had them at her house one day and I could not stop eating them! Enjoy! I have not made these yet, so the servings and yield could be way off. If you make them, please let me know how many it makes!

I am not going to give a rating, just a review, for the following reasons: 1. The instructions don't say where to add the molasses so I added it with the liquids in step 2. 2. The dough ended up extremely runny, so I added 1 cup flour to get it firm enough to roll it (it was still very wet). The extra flour may be why they were cakey instead of chewy. I expected chewy, so I wasn't as happy with cakey, but they ended up being good too. It made exactly 36 cookies using a melon baller (1.5 or 2 inch I think). I probably wouldn't use this recipe again if I wanted chewy cookies, but if I want to recreate cakey cookies, I'd do exactly what I did this time, maybe with some additional spices and sugar because of the additional flour.

I made these to put in Christmas boxes our church sent to troops overseas. I just made drop cookies (about 1 heaping teaspoon each)instead of making balls and rolling in sugar and I got about 4 dozen cookies.
