This glaze was delicious! I didn't add any extra vinegar or sugar at all. :D It was super simple to make and I had all the ingredients for it, too. :D Thanks, Michelle!
I never let it cool - and used it hot and fresh. I liked it a lot... and my husband raved over it! That's saying something, as he is almost never impressed.
This is a really good sauce but to me it tastes more like a teriyaki sauce than a bourbon sauce. None-the-less it is a very good sauce. Thanks for posting!
OMG!!! I made this glaze and put it in the crockpot over some grilled chicken tenders for my step-son's graduation party yesterday and they were delicious. They were gone before the party was half over. Made exactly as the recipe states and I personally wouldn't change a thing!! Many asked for the recipe!! This will be a keeper!! I think it would be great drizzled over grilled shrimp as well! Thanks for the recipe!!
Wowee! Glad I found this! I made some to go on a few pounds of chicken tenders and they were a huge hit. This awesome recipe now resides in my cookbook and I will use it again....maybe over Cornish Game Hens next time. One thing-I accidently used 'clove' instead of 'a clove of garlic'. Didn't matter much. In fact it may have made it even better! Also used a little Balsamic vinegar along with apple cider vinegar.
Oh man..this sauce is just fantastic!! We went mad for it,and have been slapping it on everything in sight. Really great on chicken-but we have also been using it as a dipping sauce with much success. A great find..thank you so much for sharing!!
GREAT GREAT GREAT tasting sauce. Had some leftover chicken breast from last night. I did though add a pinch more cayenne pepper. Since there were only 4 of us, I did halve the recipe. Plan on using the rest for a recipe of my own. A keeper here. Made for PRMR tag.
A very tasty sauce. I made a quarter portion of the recipe for two and to accommodate our taste preferences, I omitted the cayenne pepper and reduced the worcestershire sauce; and increased the garlic powder and lemon juice. We enjoyed this on grilled skinless chicken breasts, and it really gave them a lift. A recipe I'll certainly make again. Thank you for sharing it, Michelle! Made for PRMR.
I tried this tonight using this recipe as a baseline and combining it with another and I loved the results. I used a little more of each ingredient, added apple juice, used cider vinegar and my family was very pleased. I also used brown sugar. I must admit that I was a bit nervous since I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I guess you can say I kind of experimented but did use the basics. I love trying new things and this I really liked this recipe and so did my family. My two year old was upset when I ate a spoonful of food off his plate. He told me I had to give him more. We didn't even have left overs. Thanks
This is very good, easy and quick. The flavors blend together great. I followed ingredients exactly except for adding cayenne pepper. It is too spicey for me. Made for Market Tag 2008.
