Deep Fried Twinkie

- 6 Hostess Twinkies, frozen
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- flour, for dusting
directions
- Heat oil in deep fryer to 380 / 400 degrees.
- Combine wet ingredients in one bowl, whisk dry ingredients in separate bowl.
- Combine both into one bowl blending together. Best to set in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- Place a wooden stick into end of twinkie, sprinkle with flour to create a light dusting on twinkie.
- Dunk twinkie into mixture and then place in fryer.
- Fry for 2 - 5 minutes, until golden brown on both sides. Remove, let oil drain, let set for a few minutes and the ENJOY.

This was pretty good. The cook time for me was about two minutes. My fryer only goes up to 375 degrees, so I thought I would need more time to fry, but 375 did the job, and fast at that. I have never had fried twinkies before, but I felt like they could have used some more sweetness. Perhaps some added powder sugar in the batter would have been a good idea.
