- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 1⁄2 lbs catfish meat
- oil (for deep frying)
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Heat oil to 365F degrees.
- Dip fish in milk, then in flour mixture.
- Fry a few at a time, turning once, about 2 minutes each side.
- Drain on paper towels.
