TRYING again! This is my THIRD attempt at posting a review! EXCELLENT instructions and a wonderful texture for dried apples, not too crispy and not too soggy. Mine took about 45 minutes longer to dry to the level I wanted, but my oven is running low at the moment. STUNNING and on my list for hampers for friends this Christmas. (Photos to be posted too.)

I made these yesterday and they turned out beautifully. They took a lot longer to dry than stated in the recipe but that may be due to differences in oven temperature. Now I just have to decide what I'm going to do with them. I'm thinking that a winter potpourri might be nice. Made for Kittencalskitchen The Scandinavia Kitchen.

I had to make this twice. Instructions are there to be followed! Saying this to myself as the oven was on too high and I ended up with black dried apples (not too bad looking though!).These would be great on a black and white Christmas tree like my cousin had last year! Second time around turned out ok with the oven on the lowest. The only thing I didn't like is that I got a small amount for all the hours I was waiting. They're delicious and next time I'll add them to my granola mix. I'll have to make it again coz DD likes dried apples and they're quite expensive in the store. Edit:changed from four to five stars as I'm nibbling on them and they're worth all the work!
