I used temph bacon instead of the real bacon. The vegetaians in our family had grilled veggie burgers with the topping while the meat eaters had the burgers from your recipe. We all enjoyed them and will probably make again when it warms up and we are looking for meals to grill. Thanks for a great recipe.

Great burgers! I used fresh mushrooms for the canned, low fat mayo and 2% mf cheese to cut down on calories and Maple Leaf Ready Crisp bacon bits to cut down on clean up. Thanks

Instead of bacon I used black and green olives mixed in with the onion. DH and I both loved them! I used pepperoncini peppers instead of the red pepper flakes and what a delicious flavor they brought to the burgers! We will have these again and I can't wait to cook them on the outside grill!

Man, are these rich and good. We used ground turkey and fresh portabellos, whole grain ciabattas AND Dh made them all by himself. Not a big deal in some households but this isn't some households. GREAT burgers.

These burgers are SO GREAT! We loved these. I did cut this by half as there are just the two of us. We ended up with 3 burgers, leaving one extra for us to fight over. I made this exactly as stated, except I used sliced, fresh mushrooms, instead of the jar mushrooms. Really easy to make recipe, that raises the usual backyard burger to a whole new level! I will definatley make these again.

Would only change one thing about this recipe. Loved the way the flavours of the burgers mixed with the flavours of the topping. We didn't have a broiler, so semi cooked the burgers on the stovetop then stuck in the oven preheated to 240 degrees C. Only thing we did was make the patties thinner the second batch we cooked as they seemed to shrink and get thicker the first time. Delicious thank you!

This was sooo good. I didn't have any onions so I used a little bit of onion powder instead. I sauted some fresh mushrooms instead of buying canned. My bf thinks this is the best burger ever.

We made these burgers for dinner tonight and the whole family loved them! Such a nice change from the traditional cheeseburger on the grill. I felt like I was eating a gourmet burger at an upscale bistro. Serve these with sweet corn and fresh fruit and you have a meal fit for company!
