  1. Cook potatoes with onion and chicken bullion until soft and then drain half of water into a glass bowl. Reserve to add later if needed. Add the ham or bacon, cheese and sour cream, and margarine. Mix well. Add remaining water if too thick. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir so it dosen't scorch.
