A WONDERFUL malt to have to cool off or just to simply enjoy. Kids and adults both LOVE it.
- 3 tablespoons nestle carnation chocolate malt powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 3 1⁄2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream
- chocolate syrup
- chocolate curls
- Blend malt powder, vanilla, milk, and vanilla ice cream for 30 seconds or until well blended in a blender. If desired, put a swirl of whipped cream on top, drizzle chocolate syrup lightly back and forth across whipped cream, dust with a pinch of malt powder and sprinkle on chocolate curls. This recipe is really flexible; you can put slices of banana on top or take away garnishings you don't want. You can dress it up or put it together quick for a frosty sweet drink.
This is out-of-this world terrific! I've always loved chocolate malts but fresh homemade is the best. Thanks for posting a keeper. Made for Pick A Chef Spring 2011.
Well my kids and half of the neighbourhood loved this! When I started running low on vanilla ice cream I threw in some strawberry ice cream too and it was great. Made for Spring Pick A Chef 2011. Thanks!
