ingredients
- 59.14 ml walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 473.18 ml pitted dates
- 118.29 ml sultana raisin
- 4.92 ml grated lemon rind, if desired
- 2.46 ml cinnamon
directions
- Pulse dates, raisins, rind and cinnamon in a food processor until minced finely.
- Add nuts and pulse 1-2 times.

This is totally delicious!! Not only are the dates, golden raisins, and walnuts great together--the little bit of lemon rind and cinnamon adds a kind of old world quality that's just wonderful! I scaled the recipe down to 1/2 cup and minced everything by hand (since I don't have a food processor); then used it as the date filling for 24 cookies of Recipe #100557 (which I've also reviewed). Perfect!! This recipe is most definitely a keeper! Thanks for posting it, Sue L!!
