  1. Melt butter and sugar n top of double boiler or heavy saucepan over med-low heat. Cool.
  2. Add dates and well-beaten egg.
  3. cook for 15 minutes over rapidly boiling water or until mixture thickens. Stir carefully to avoid scorching.
  4. Add remaining ingredients. Mix Well.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.
  7. Coat balls with coconut or sugar.
  8. Keep refrigerated. Can be frozen up to 3 months.
