Although the flavor of this cake is wonderful, I had some difficulty with this recipe, primarily because I didn't know what size pan to use--I wasn't sure what size a "sheet pan" was therefore my cooking time was way off and the cake came out of the pan in pieces. However, we all ate every last crumb of this cake.
This is a yummy cake and can be very addictive! I love the deep dark chocolate brown colour of this cake. My house smelt wonderful while this was baking. I made this this afternoon as part of my Zaar anniversary(completion of two years on Zaar!). This cake took 2 hours 15 minutes to bake in my AMC Dutch Oven. I only had a little problem with the chocolate glaze. In it, I found that using only 2 fl. oz. of milk is way too less for preparing the glaze. The Measurements converter on Zaar revealed that 2 fl. oz = 4 tbsps. or 12 tsps. However, when I used just 4 tbsps. of milk, the glaze mixture was very coarse. I had to add another 4 tbsps. to get a smooth glaze. This cake was very well enjoyed by everyone at my end, and they all wish to thank YOU for posting this recipe. I'm so glad I picked this as the main item for my Zaar party at home today!
