My mom used to make this every summer. It's really rich, so a little serving goes a long way. I prefer to cool it completely, then cover it and put it in the refrigerator. Before serving, I sometimes top with Cool Whip or Redi Whip. Great to take to get-togethers, this is something most people haven't heard of. Also, the crater appearance is why it's called a Wasp's Nest, the morsels make it look kind of like a hive. With the whipped topping the cake is almost the height a a risen cake.

I'm kind of not sure what I want to say about this recipe. It was just "okay".Certainly different so I thought I'd give it a try.It dried out very quickly after baking which I think takes away from the appeal of the cake.It was also very sweet and didn't rise much.Sorry I couldn't give a better rating!!

I'm disable now for a couple years. I was in sales for 25 years and was a policeman for 5 years before that and just floated around a few years before that. I've been married to the same gal for 30 years, got two sons and two grandchildren.
I got into the recipe seen and have got hooked on it, I'm not a cook but I'm learning as I go. Enjoy reading the different recipes.
