Another of my Great-Grandmother Jean's recipe
- 2⁄3 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons strong coffee
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons dark rum
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup finely chopped almonds
- Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, coffee, and rum.
- Add flour mixture and almonds.
- Chill mixture at least one hour, roll out 1/8 inch thick and cut.
- Bake in ungreased pan at 375 for 12 minutes.
