I used to wake up the the smell of my daddy baking fresh scones every weekend. So homey! :D
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup dried fruit (eg. raisins) (optional)
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.
Delicious fruit scones, I used a mixture of dried fruits and peel. Great tasting hot out of the oven with butter! I always bake my scones at 425 for 12-15 minutes. Prepared for the Virtual Cruise of Britain - Ireland.
