ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 (14 ounce) cans light red kidney beans
- 1 lb ground beef
- season with chili seasoning mix
directions
- Scramble fry ground beef, drain fat.
- Add in crushed tomatoes and seasoning. Stir until well mixed.
- Place onions and peppers in the bottom of the crock and add in all ingredients including beef mixture.
- Cook on low for 8 hours, stirring occasionally.

Crock pot chili is a staple at our house and this one was super easy and indeed a little on the sweet side. I did 4 servings although I used an entire green pepper and ended up adding an extra can of tomatoes because it didn't seem like it would be enough for us. Still is was very hearty and DH was wondering when we'd be making it again! Served with recipe#340439 - Made for Pick A Chef Spring 2009.
