"Spicy ethnic lentil soup. Usually served over rice."

• Serves: 2

ingredients

• 1 cup yellow lentils
• 3 -4 dried red chili peppers
• 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
• 1⁄2 teaspoon mustard seeds
• 2 tablespoons oil
• salt, to taste

directions

1. Boil lentils and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a flat pan.
3. Add all the seasoning (chillies, turmeric, mustard and salt). Saute for a minute.
4. Add the boiled lentils. Cover and simmer for a minute.
5. Serve hot.
