This is a old Czech recipe from my grandmother.
- Mix butter with sugar and egg yolks.
- Add cocoa and oats.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Drop from a teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes.
These are quite bad. I'm a dough eater before cooking and these weren't sweet then...so i added another 1/4 cup sugar which only improved it marginally, but I cooked them anyway. They were rock-hard and STILL have no flavour. I was hoping these would satisfy my chocolate craving but they are just too terrible to eat.
these are the worst cookies i have ever tasted! i would never recommend them to anyone as soon as i finished making them and tried them, they went right into the trashcan along with this recipe!
Delicious. My boyfriend thought they weren't sweet enough, so he made a small amount of vanilla butter icing to dip the cookie in. Personally I liked them best without the icing!
