hmm...most recipes that thicken start with a butter /flour base. About 1 T. butter is heated to bubbling and then 1 T. flour is added (it will ball up with the butter). Then the milk and the rest are added in the same pan. That might help this recipe.
This was a little confusing to me. I tried taking it and letting it cool but it didn't thicken. Then I put it back on the stove and added a little bit of flour and it thickened. The end result was good but the directions could use a little work. Thanks!
