Very nice recipe. I added salt to taste after I put it on the plate.
Delicious. I did take the advice of previous reviewers and added more of the spices and finished with some green onions as garnish. I used bone in thighs. :)
Totally agree with needing a lot more spices. I recommend tasting it before serving and adjusting the salt and curry to taste. We did whole chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on) and it needed an additional 10 minutes to cook. If you do this, I suggest removing and plating the thighs and then stirring in the sour cream and spooning the sauce over the chicken. Also, it was in need of a garnish. I suggest cilantro or green onions.
Needs to triple the spice amounts for me.
My family loves this dish. I serve it over a coconut rice with golden raisins and cherry's, they can't get enough.
I loved it! Just the right touch of everything. Not too powerful in flavor....just right! I made no adjustments. Thanks for sharing!
Reviewed for PAC Spring '08 -- Wonderful! Quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. I did tweak it a bit. Recipezaar has cured me from ever using commercial curry powder (even Penzey's); I used Homemade Curry Powder, which is unbearably yummy. Didn't add the extra ginger and cumin, because they're present in my curry powder. And instead of using sour cream, I used homemade nonfat yogurt. The result was absolutely fabulous -- both my husband and I loved it. Thanks so much for posting this!
