OMG!!! This sandwich is awesome! There was a party in my mouth. Since it was low calorie, I was able to get full.
I just love curried chicken salads, and this was a great variation. I used fat free yogurt, the chicken option, the red pepper option, and the cilantro. I omitted the salt (personal preference). Delicious! I served half in buns and half over spinach leaves and both methods were immensely enjoyed. Thanks for sharing! ZWT6
I love the combination of the cilantro and the curry powder. I made 1/2 a recipe and it made 3 very generous servings. I also used only yogurt instead of mayo (a substitution I normally make.) I will be making this again :-) For ZWT6 N.
This was a very dish. I actually did a bad job of following the recipe, I didn't have yogurt and used a few fresh chili peppers instead of the ground red pepper. I ended up not having apples either (so really, why did I bother, right?) so I added a pinch of sugar. It did the same thing, but was one less texture. This was such a great break from the normal mayo chicken salad! Thanks for posting!
I'll start with a mea culpa! I didn't have yogurt, used dried garlic, didn't have green onions and used chopped onion. I added some lemon juice to my 1/2 cup of low fat mayo. So we can definitely say this recipe is flexible! This was very good!. I would like to try it with yogurt next time and the green onions but this was very yummy. ...Oh yes, served on wheat bread... Don't ya hate reviews like this?
This is a very nice sandwich filling. I served it in small potato rolls for a bridal shower & received many compliments. I omitted the green onions, used parsley instead of (the evil) cilantro, & omitted the red pepper as I was apparantly out of the stuff. This would also be great served over lettuce, as a salad.
