This recipe is a regular sunday brunch item prepared by my hubby along with hash browns and eggs.You have to try this and the best accompaniment according to me is cheese toast....YUM!!

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the chopped onion and saute on medium heat till soft.
  3. Add all the powders and the water and fry on low heat till the smell of the raw masala has gone.keep stirring.
  4. Add the can of beans and stir till well mixed.
  5. Add 1 tbsp coriander leaves and the spring onions,cover and let cook on low for another 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with the remaining chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Serve with toast or what your heart desires --
  8. Enjoy!
  9. {There is no need to add salt.}.

This was a quick and easy way to fancy up a can of plain baked beans. People are right that it wasn't all that spicy but that suits me because I like the taste of spices but not heat from spices. I served this over baked potatoes for a cheap and enjoyable meal. Made for Alphabet Soup Tag.

My husband and I loved this recipe, I did tweak the amount of spice a bit and added a clove of garlic and a teaspoon of curry powder :)

I don't know how to rate this really, and if I could give 3,5 stars, I would! I love the idea - this is such a quick, nice dish, and the curry spices work really well with the baked beans. The only thing is that I felt there were not enough of the spices, they just cut the sweeteness of the beans a bit but that was all, really. I will definitely keep this in my recipe folder, though, and tweak the spices some! Just a matter of personal taste - as I said, a great idea to dress up a can of beans, thanks for the recipe!
