This is a great summertime salad dish that is colorful and very tasty. A sure crowd pleaser for those hot days of summer. This comes to me from my Aunt Hazel.

Lovely summer salad. i made it with purple onion and it was fantastic. So nice and cool. i did however only use 2 T. of olive oil and 3 T of sugar. Turned out perfect. Such a good way to use those extra cucumbers. Thanks for the recipe, Aric!
- 3 cucumbers
- 1 large tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 8 tablespoons sugar
- 8 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 tablespoons white vinegar or 6 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- salt and pepper
