Cucumber and Onion Salad

Ingredients:

Servings: 6

• 4 cucumbers, thinly sliced (garden fresh are best)
• 1 -2 sweet onion, thinkly sliced into rings
• 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon garlic salt (or 1 tsp seasoned salt)
• fresh ground pepper

Directions:

1. Combine cucumbers and onion in a bowl and stir to combine.
2. In a jar, combine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic salt (or seasoned salt) and pepper.
3. Shake dressing well.
4. Pour over cucumbers and onions and stir to combine.
5. Can be served immediately, but I prefer to let it marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours.

My mother, grandmother, etc, have made this or a similar recipes. In order to provide full flavor, the dish must be refrigerated for at least one hour or longer.
