Cubed Steak and Rice

This is really a easy dinner to put together. I usually make it when I have things I need to do around the house. I put it in the oven, do my laundry, vaccum the house and when I'm done dinner is ready!!!

It was an easy dish to prepare, but it really lacked any flavor. I was suprised at the out come. If I made it again I would change the hole recipe.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 4 cube steaks
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 can consomme
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Brown and season steak.
  2. Place in casserole dish.
  3. Pour rice over steak.
  4. Mix broth, consomme and water.
  5. Pour over steak and rice.
  6. Cover; cook about 1 hour at 400 degrees.
  7. Serve Hot.
