No one believed this was a WW recipe! So delicious, the potatoes tasted better than my usual milk and butter mashed potatoes, and the cube steak was perfect, the gravy smooth and flavorful and the mushrooms were nice as well. I made green peas with this, and the whole meal was 7 points a serving! Will make again and again!
Comfort food at it's best. I loved this and dinner guest sopped up left over gravy with bread. I did double the amounts of broth to make extra. I did not do the potato step.
This has turned into one of my favorite recipes, and my family doesn't even realize that it's a WW recipe! Delicious and filling.
DH and I both enjoyed this. Very easy to make with the result of a great comfort food meal. I, too, opted not to use the potato liquid and used 1/2 and 1/2 instead. I will make this again and will share the recipe with others.
I only tried the steak and gravy part of this recipe, and I swapped onions for the mushrooms. The important part is that the gravy is wonderful and very easy to make. I will definitely try the potatoes next time.
A really nice dinner recipe. I love that it was very easy to prepare and very easy on my budget too. I used some 1% milk in place of the potato liquid (just like the creaminess milk/cream adds). Great addition to my budget friendly meal plans. Thanks for sharing in Newest Zaar Star tag game.
I'm always amazed with how yummy some WW recipes can be. This is one of them. I made as posted but decided to use fat free half and half for an additional 1/2 pt instead of the potato liquid. I used a hand masher to mash instead of a mixer to mix, I also left the skins on my potatoes for added nutrients. I served this awesomely yummy meal with peas. DH was in heaven. (he was unaware of the WW part of the meal) Very cool! Thanks for posting. :)
