      This was excellent. I had a pot roast out to thaw for todays dinner and had planned on doing it in the crockpot anyway, when I came across this recipe. I have been loving cumin lately and figured it would be right up my alley. I ended up not using the flour nor the oil as I like the taste of seared meat. I omitted the wine as well since I am not so fond of cooking with the stuff. My roast was only about 2.5 lbs so we had a lot of sauce which was great since I served it over fettacini. I thought rice would have been more "Cuban" but I wanted the kids to like it since it was something new. They cleaned their plates! Thank you CarolAT for a definate keeper!

      Don't normally made roast - don't care for it, but this recipe caught my eye so I thought I'd try it. Well it is still cooking in the crockpot and I just tasted the meat and IT IS SO GOOD! I definitely would make this and also serve to company. Excellent recipe.

      This was great from start to finish. Crockpot meat recipes are usually unattractive, having a boiled, yet dry taste. Not this one! Smelled wonderful all day long, and the meat was tasty and fork-tender. A very flavorful sauce. Even my tomato/onion-hater enjoyed it--that says a lot! Thanks, Carol, for restoring my faith in putting meat into a crockpot!

      Delish. I baked it in the oven, but other than that, made exactly as carol directed. The cumin and tomatoes give it a unique flavor. Made for ZWT5.

      I'd rate this higher if I could. Wonderful flavors and the pot roast came out of the cooker moist and fall off the bone tender. Thank you Carol for a wonderful meal. Made for the Dining Daredevils team for ZWT5.
